Dussehra Sambaralu
A ‘ Dussehra Sambaralu’ was organized at Ravindra Bharati on 18th Oct 21 under the aegis of Department of Language and Culture, Govt of Telangana and Kuruganty Kala Kshetram. The ‘Dusshera Sambaralu’ was attended by distinguished guests from the Govt of Telangana, CBFC, stalwarts from the field of dance and music and members of the media.
Teams from across the state participated in the carnival. There were Kuchipudi performances by the teams. The carnival also had a Bathukamma dance competition. The group from DRDO Township under the mentorship of Ms Haripriya won the 2nd position in the competition. The winning team was awarded with a certificate and a medal each.
Adya Sahu of Grade 3 A , Edify World School , Balapur is an avid dancer and has been learning the classical dance form of ‘Kuchipudi’ from Ms Haripriya since Grade 1 (2019). She has participated in dance performances on DD Yadagiri and celebrations in DRDO Township also prior to participating in the Bathukamma competition.
